Libra is a cardinal sign and like the other cardinal signs—Aries, Cancer and Capricorn—it begins a new season.  Cardinal signs are good at initiating, responding and getting things going.Â

In tarot, the cardinal signs correspond to numbers 2, 3 and 4.  And as an air sign, we use the Swords for Libra.Â
