2nd Decan of Scorpio
Unlike Humpty Dumpty, our hearts can be put back together again. All the King's horses and all the King's men can't mend a broken heart; but perspective, forgiveness and the passage of time can.
Making Merry with The World
When The World appears, we’ve done it! We’ve come a long way and learned a lot. The path we travelled taught us not to give up when things got hard. Because we kept going, we learned to count on our ability to finish what we started.
1st Decan of Scorpio
The Five of Cups corresponds to the first ten days of the Sun's passage in Scorpio. When it appears, we're often going through great loss that can feel unbearable. The kind of pain that flattens us for days and months. Sometimes, even years.
3rd Decan of Libra
If the Three of Swords brought betrayal, deception or heartache, the Four of Swords invites us to go within and stabilize our thinking. This can be a profound internal process where we either regurgitate our pain or we begin to release the attachment to our story. The choice is ours and sometimes we do a little bit of both.
The Page of Cups
The youngest of the Cups family—the Page of Cups—is a sensitive, imaginative and playful creature. Like Dorothy adventuring the yellow brick road, the appearance of this card often indicates we’ve begun a journey back home to ourselves. Whether it’s picking up a paintbrush, opening our heart to a new relationship or beginning a spiritual practice, the Page of Cups offers us a soulful experience that calls upon our intuition, connectivity and feelings.
Three of Swords Spread
Betrayal. Deception. Heartache. The Three of Swords is one of the most challenging cards to receive. It often appears when we’re going through a crisis that’s left us feeling low and disillusioned. A person who we thought was a friend betrayed us. A love we held on to for too long breathes its last breath. Our last hope falls through the aching hole in our heart, gaping wide, raw and senseless.
2nd Decan of Libra
Betrayal. Deception. Heartache. The Three of Swords which corresponds to the second decan of Libra is one of the most challenging cards to receive. It often appears when we’re going through a crisis that’s left us feeling low and disillusioned. A person who we thought was a friend betrayed us. A love we held on to for too long breathes its last breath. Our last hope falls through the aching hole in our heart, gaping wide, raw and senseless.
1st Decan of Libra
Libra is a cardinal sign and like the other cardinal signs—Aries, Cancer and Capricorn—it begins a new season. Cardinal signs are good at initiating, responding and getting things going. In tarot, the cardinal signs correspond to numbers 2, 3 and 4. And as an air sign, we use the Swords for Libra. Put it together and the first decan (ten days) of Libra corresponds to the Two of Swords.
3rd Decan of Virgo
What’s a decan? The zodiac is divided into twelve signs of 30° each and every sign is further divided into three 10° spans called decans. It’s like dividing a pizza (zodiac) into 12 slices (the signs) and then into three mini slices (the decans). Since the Sun moves roughly 1° per day, it takes the Sun just about ten days to move through one decan and approximately 30 days to transit one sign.
The King of Swords
A Captain of the mental realm, the King of Swords cuts straight through confusion and drama to get at the root of a problem and see the truth of a situation. He’s known for his rational thinking and analytical mind. Do you have a Rubik’s Cube of a problem? Give it to him. He’ll have it sorted and solved in no time.
