Emperor Elephant
We wanted our Emperor to lead with more of a servant leadership style than some of the traditional Emperors so we chose the elephant matriarch. The oldest leads her pack with confidence. She’s earned her respect through her connections with the herd as well as the wisdom she displays. She’s in charge because she’s gained the respect of her community. The herd relies on the matriarch’s wisdom and experience to keep them safe, fed and watered.
Symbolism
The little elephant is the elephant’s daughter. A true leader shares their knowledge. The matriarch passes down her wisdom so that when it’s time, her daughter will know how to take her place.
Age: The senior elephant is older. Through her experience, she has gained wisdom.
The Crown signifies leadership.
In the background, we see the herd. Their presence here underlines the importance of including community and understanding the value they offer.
